I love breakfast. I love vacation.
I love great breakfast. I love great vacations.
It is only fitting, therefore, that I have great breakfasts to start great vacations. That is exactly what I did at Cafe Americano at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV.
From short ribs benedict to waffles piled high with fruit, sugar, and syrup, this restaurant located right next to the front desk of the massive resort fulfilled my every desire to start the day off properly while on vacation. Service is fast and attentive, the flatware is new and stylish, and your plate will go from full to empty in a matter of minutes with every meal. Of course, I should note that I only managed to eat breakfast here since I had so many other locations to try for lunch and dinner. However, I imagine that other meals are just as tasty (Cafe Americano is open twenty-four hours a day).
As with all major resort restaurants, the prices at Cafe Americano can be steep compared to other places located near the Strip in Las Vegas. However, for the traveler who is looking for an exceptional breakfast spot that is conveniently and centrally located, it is the perfect place for an early (or late) morning.
The scrambled eggs were always light and fluffy. All hash browns were well-seasoned and never over or undercooked. The sausage gravy was incredibly flavorful and left nothing to be desired when slathered over a warm biscuit. The short ribs were moist and well-prepared, falling apart as my fork cut into the creative spin on the traditional eggs benedict. Even the traditional eggs benedict (not pictured) was sensational, with the eggs poached perfectly and the English muffin soft and warm.
As with all breakfast reviews, one should take my opinions with a grain of salt. I love breakfast and all of its wonderful possibilities. In that regard, however, Cafe Americano hits the spot, even for this wandering food-lover.
